Love/Hate
I love being a mom. Love it! However, I've returned to work and am doing my best at leaving my little one behind. I begged my employer to let me go 3/4 time and they finally gave in for an 8 week stint. S is taking Monday, I'm on for Tuesday, and my dear mother drives 2.5 on Tuesday night and stays for 3 days to watch him Wed thru Friday. This has been a great fit for all of us and I hope we can continue even past the 8 weeks, but either way, it helps with the transition of returning to work. I hate leaving him. Did I mention that, yet? Hate it.
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

I'm a commercial and fine art photographer. My husband is a stock broker. We met through the sport of rowing. We have a thing about water, which is why we bought our fixer-upper on a lake in a state park. We can row everyday now, if we want. Speaking of wanting, we want a baby, and right now that's pretty much what my blog is all about. Adventures in, not travel, but infertility, although we still try to get away form time to time, and stay on that road less traveled.
As an exercise once, I had to pair up with another artist and we had to describe each other. This is what my partner wrote about me:
1. Magenta
2. Emotional strength
3. Direct energy
and my favorite...
4. River in spring
I keep it pinned by my desk to remind myself how others see me, that I am strong, because going through this journey, I sure don't feel like I am.

Ditto that. He's so beautiful! Are you suffering from mommy brain as much as I am?
